Ideas for MPN Side Effects

AKG supplement from double wood: Life changer. Half a capsule in the morning on days I feel really down. My MPN specialist is ok with me taking it. Fairly natural molecule.

How does it work?

  • It works by calming down overactive platelets and inflammation.

  • You'll feel a burst of energy if you take it in the morning all day.

Suja Uber greens juice or any cucumber/celery juice: Pretty good boost to energy. Too much might cause a burn out. Just half a bottle is enough.

Scientific Reference:

  • I cannot explain why celery juice and/or cucumbers are energizing but they are, and they're very safe. No brainer to try.

Green tea and hibiscus tea in the morning: Improves mood / lifts up depression. I drink both everyday. Doesn't give energy. But improves energy by improving mood.

Scientific Reference:

  • Green tea and its extract EGCG was found effective against JAK overactivation in numerous diseases. They also help with leukemias and blood cancers in human trials. Another no brainer to try.

Half a cup of coffee: Use when green tea isn't sufficient. Mood booster. Increases energy and motivation.

Wobenzym: Helpful for increasing energy.

Scientific Reference:

  • Too complex to explain. But generally speaking TGF-beta is fibrotic factor. Enzymes lower TGF-beta. I don't know why this would give you more energy, but it does.

Curcumin and fish oil: To reduce bone pain, relax yourself. They calm down the fire burning inside of you -- overactive Jak/stat. You'll sleep a lot better and wake up refreshed if you can calm down the inflammation.

  • Curcumin inhibits JAK2 in numerous conditions including MPNs. It's one of the best supplements to deal with symptoms. https://mylongevityjourney.blogspot.com/2024/01/curcumin-to-inhibit-jak2.html

  • Fish oil just fantastic, too. Be careful about blood thinning. https://mylongevityjourney.blogspot.com/2021/09/fish-oil.html

I'm doing all of the above. Provides a significant boost to my quality of life. AKG in particular is very impactful (single most energizing), but all of them help. Always check with your doctor. (Image by AI)
